When I look around on the net and read the posts, questions and emails about all the scams that are going on, I just have to shake my head in sadness and disbelief at how some people will go to SO many extremes to rip off their fellow man.
It is a necessity these days to inquire about any program or system that piques our interest. Excellently presented, with security assured, these scams drain peoples hopes and dreams as well as their bank accounts.
Is it a scam? Has anyone heard of ‘such and such system’ ? Does anyone know of someone that has been paid by ‘such and such’ ?
And as for the emails that we all get, telling us that we have won ‘this lottery’ or ‘that grand prize’, or some late Uncle who we have never heard of has left us some huge some of money. It never ceases to amaze me the different ways that these scammers can come up with to releave some poor ‘sucker’ of their hard earned money.
It is ALL so sad that this is the reality of our society today. Not being able to trust the people that we come in contact with, be it on the internet OR in our personal lives.
Why?
Do these people feel that the world owes them? That if ‘Fred’ has more than they do, that they feel they have the right to take from ‘Fred’. That ‘Fred’ is fair game?
This is where I shake my head.
I cannot understand how these people can go out of their way, make up scams, falsely lead people along, KNOWINGLY, do what they do and still look at themselves in the mirror the next day. That they can deliberately lie, scam, cheat, their way through life at the expense of others is beyond my way of thinking.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I know full well that it happens, unfortunately having personal experience with just such a person, but I wont go into that now.
Trying to understand how they can live with themselves is the part that I DON’T understand.
Does it actually make them feel good to rip people off? Does this make them feel superior? Feel that they are ‘smarter’ than their victims?
All that says to me is that they don’t believe that they can or deserve to be able to acquire the things they want the ‘right way’.
Where has all their self respect gone? Where has their common decency disappeared to? They are old enough to be able to put these ‘scams’ together they should be old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.
AND if they can put these ‘scams’ together WHY can’t they put together a legitimate system?
With all the time, effort and money that it takes to put together a proper working ‘scam’ they would be SO FAR in front if they put all that energy into something that works FOR people.
If only they would realize that if they helped other people the money would come back to them ten fold. They would gain self respect for them selves and pride in what they are able to accomplish. A feeling of being worthy, of knowing what they have done has aided other people and boosted their own self confidence and self esteem.
AND in the morning be able to look at them selves in the mirror and like the person who looks back.
That is a win/win situation.
As for the person who personally took me for a ride I wonder if they feel smarter? Think they are better?
I don’t think they could if they really looked at the situation.
They would have gotten SO MUCH MORE out of me if they had of just continued pretending to be my friend. The long haul would have seen them walk away with a lot more than they did.
Thank God for small mercies.
